Routt National Forest Hunting Medicine Bow National Forest Hunting
Routt National Forest Hunting and Medicine Bow National Forest Hunting for Elk, Deer, Antelope, Bear, Mountain Lion, and predators!
Located on the Colorado border of south-central Wyoming, the Carbon County town of Savery rests between the Red Desert, the Sierra Madre Mountains and the Little Snake River Valley. The diverse mountain, valley, forest and river landscapes provide ample opportunity for elk, deer, and antlelope hunters with Savery Creek Outfitters.
We boarder the Medicine Bow National Forest and the Routt National Forest which are located near Savery, WY. This natural attraction encompasses areas including Flat Tops Wilderness, Never Summer Wilderness, Rawah Wilderness, Sarvis Creek and Mt. Zirkel. These forests host large herds of elk and deer. In particular, archery and muzzleloader seasons fall at the height of the elk rut. There are still large numbers of elk during the rifle season in this area. In addition to elk, these forests hosts populations of mule deer and even have bear and mountain lion hunting opportunities. The trophy mule deer found in this area have great genetics! You can see some of the archery mule deer and rifle mule deer hunt opportunities that our ranches have allowed over the past few years by viewing our photo gallery.
The good news about us boarding this forest is that the hunting pressure that accumulates during the peak of hunting season drives game to our low hunting pressure ranches. Your opportunity awaits you here at Savery Creek Outfitters for a low hunting pressure, fair chase hunt on private ranches with tremendous amounts and quality of game.
During elk season, hunters will pursue residential and migratory groups of elk through the mountain timbers of the Savery Creek Valley. In early autumn, Savery Creek Outfitters offers bow hunts for elk in timber patches while the late season brings spot-and-stalk style rifle hunting. Savery Creek Outfitters has ample bulls and offers hunts suitable for all skill levels.
Our mule deer hunting opportunities range from river bottom tree stands to spot and stalk terrain type hunting. Either way we have awesome genetics and large ranches to ensure the quality of your hunt.
Our antelope hunting can be done from ground blinds or spot and stalk. This area is number one for quality pope and young and boone and crockett antelope hunting in the nation.
We offer mountain lion and bear hunting in the off seasons as well as awesome fly fishing nearly year round! Our premium lodging can be viewed on our lodging tab.
We hope to have the opportunity to be your outfitter of choice for the upcoming Big Game Season!
